Is my PDF uploaded to your servers?+
No, never. Everything happens in your browser using pdfjs-dist and pdf-lib. Your PDF never leaves your machine — unlike Smallpdf, iLovePDF or PDF24 which upload your files to their foreign servers.
Does the text stay selectable after compression?+
No. Our compression rasterises each page as a high-quality JPEG to achieve the biggest size reduction. Text remains perfectly readable but is no longer selectable. That's the standard trade-off for PDF compressors — Smallpdf and iLovePDF do the same.
Is there a file-size or page limit?+
No ModySign-side limit. The only limit comes from your browser's RAM — in practice PDFs of 100+ pages or 50+ MB go through fine. Very large documents simply take a few extra seconds.
How do I choose between Max, Balanced and Light?+
Max = strongest compression (decent on-screen quality, tiny file, ideal for email sharing). Balanced = default recommendation, good quality and good reduction. Light = mild compression, preserves print-ready quality.
